The Whalebones in Big Spring Park W.Huntsville, AL

Saturday, November 7  •  10 AM – 3:30 PM

Dust off your roadsters, don your smartest attire, and join us for a leisurely ride through historic Huntsville. Vintage bicycles are warmly encouraged, though modern machines are entirely acceptable.

Please note the official timetable for the day:

  • 10:00 AM: Morning assembly commences at the “whalebones” sculpture in Big Spring Park West, directly opposite Condado Tacos.
  • 10:30 AM: Departure is strictly prompt. Please ensure your machine is in proper mechanical order by this time.
  • The Itinerary: Includes scheduled intervals for historical discourse, art appreciation, a sampling of small businesses, and a visit to L’Etoile Patisserie, where prizes shall be awarded.

Essential Information:

  • Grand Raffle: An opportunity to win a 1973 Raleigh LTD 3 bicycle. Tickets are priced at one dollar each, with no limit on purchases.
  • Mechanical Support: Generously provided throughout the excursion by the engineers at Sunset Bicycles.
  • Requirements: All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to departure.

Arrangements for Motor Cars:

  • Complimentary parking is available directly across the street from our assembly point at 303 Williams Ave SE 35801.
  • Multi-story parking facilities are available at the Huntsville City Garage at VBC, 100 Church St. SW.

Public Conveniences & Refreshments:
Public facilities, coffee, and light refreshments are available at various establishments surrounding the park. Visitors are kindly requested to show the utmost courtesy and make a small purchase should you utilize the facilities of a local shopkeeper:
